Alumnus of the Month – January 2010

Happy New Year! :)

Ritesh Ranjan Sinha is our Alumnus of the Month for January 2010. He has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Ritesh is serving in the Indian Air Force and is presently posted at Bhutan. He is a combatant member of the Indian Air Force since 1997 and fought for India during the Kargil War in 1999.

Ritesh is fond of adventure sports like mountaineering, rock climbing and martial arts (Tae-Kwon-Do).

Besides this, he also writes Hindi poetry. He has won appreciation for this from Air Force Station Kanpur, Central Air Command IAF, Maintenance Command IAF and Royal Bhutan Army and Indian Military Training Team in Bhutan.

Recently, Ritesh compiled his first book of Hindi poetry called “Samarpan”. He has dedicated this book to his younger brother who died in 2000.

Alumnus of the Month – December 2009

Tanmay Dikshit is our Alumnus of the Month for December 2009. Tanmay has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Law, the PG Diploma in Cyber Law and ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator courses from ASCL.

This 20-year-old is also a handwriting analyst.

Apart from his academic interests he has special interest in Scouts and attended the 14th National Jamboree at Chhattisgarh. He was awarded Rajya Puraskar (State Award) and also Rashtrapati Award of the Bharat Scouts & Guides of NHQ, New Delhi (signed by the then President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam). As of now, he is Rover Leader.

In addition, he is also certified in Computer Forensics (U.S.). He has take several other certifications from Brainbench and National Computer Science Academy.

Alumnus of the Month – November 2009

Sanjeev Kumar Yadav is our Alumnus of the Month for November 2009. He has successfully completed the PG Diploma in Cyber Laws course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

 


At present, Sanjeev is posted as Assistant Commissioner of Police – Special Cell, Delhi Police. Before that, he was the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Madhya Pradesh and was involved with anti-dacoity operations in the dreaded Chambal region.

Having joined the Delhi Police in 1998, Sanjeev has been involved in 52 operations of encounters with dreaded militants of different terrorist outfits.

Sanjeev has also investigated some of the most important cases in recent times including the cases relating to the serial bomb blasts on 29 October 2005 and on 13 September 2008. Besides these cases, he has led to the arrests of more than 100 terrorists, underworld and interstate gangsters.

He has been awarded with one President’s Police Medal for Gallantry and five Police Medals for Gallantry for his exemplary courage and bravery displayed in different encounters/operations by the President of India. Two Police Medals for Gallantry were awarded in August 2009.

Sudha Pandit is our Alumnus of the Month for October 2009. Sudha has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Sudha is a double engineering graduate, having completed graduation in Electronics and Telecom engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. In fact she has been honoured as a  “Chartered Engineer” in Electronics and Telecom Engineering from the Institute of Engineers (India).

At present Sudha is working as the Assistant Manager(IT) in Konkan Railways. She has won several awards for software development and as a recognition of outstanding performance throughout her career.

Despite such a technical field of operations, Sudha has a very creative side too and is fond of fabric painting, hand embroidery, nib painting, pot painting and making soft toys.

Alumnus of the Month – September 2009

Joel is our Alumnus of the Month for September 2009. Joel was a student of the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Joel is currently a final year student of law at Pune. He is also undergoing training as a part of the Company Secretary course. Not only has he consistently done well in his law course, but he has also participated in various moot court competitions and is a member of several student bodies including the Moot Court Society in his college.

His team, in which he was a speaker, represented his college and later India at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2009 at Washington D.C., USA. Joel was also recently awarded the Microsoft Intellectual Property Scholarship.

Joel is currently involved in penning an article on the draft of the National Innovation Act. Although a comparatively unsuccessful sportsman, he still loves to play football and basketball. :)

Raja Roy Chowdhury is our Alumnus of the Month for August 2009.

Raja was a student of the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Raja, always a staunch supporter of technology, is currently working with Indian Oil Corporation.

Raja, almost single handedly led a group of small investors against a corporate giant and assisted them in getting their investment back.

Alumnus of the Month – July 2009

Vikas Srivastava is our Alumnus of the Month for July 2009. Vikas has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Laws and Securities and Investment Laws from Asian School of Cyber Laws and ASCL Law School respectively.

He holds a Masters degree in International Business Laws from National University of Singapore, Singapore.

As a student of Asian School of Cyber Laws he worked with Cyber Crime Police (COD), Bangalore as a part of practical training in Cyber Laws and Cyber Crime Investigation in 2003.

At present, he is placed with Dezan Shira and Associates, Mumbai as a legal associate (FDI) and India operations head.

Socially aware and active, Vikas also researched and penned several chapters for the book, “Objection Your Honor” for the common man to understand the jargon of law and its practical aspect in a simplified manner.

Puneet Bhasin is our Alumnus of the Month for June 2009. Puneet has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Law, Advanced Diploma in Cyber Laws and the ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator courses conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Puneet has participated in numerous moot court competitions and has won many awards for this.

She is a distinction holder in the English language exam conducted by the University of South Wales.

She participated in CyberAttack 2008 – the annual conference on focusing on Cyber Crime Investigation, Cyber Law and Cyber Forensics organised by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Socially aware and active, Puneet volunteered in the Railway cleaning project undertaken by the Social Service League of the Government Law College, Mumbai. She also participated in the ‘Urban Leprosy Control Programme – 2000’ held by Association for Leprosy Education, Rehabilitation and Treatment – India.

Alumnus of the Month – May 2009

Sagar Rahurkar is our Alumnus of the Month for May 2009. He has completed his Diploma in Cyber Law, Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights and ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator courses from Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Sagar, even at this young an age, is a trainee faculty for the ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator and the Post Graduate Program in Cyber Law courses.

However, academics apart, what defines Sagar is his skill in water. Sagar is an international level swimmer. He has participated in 12 national swimming tournaments and has won several medals.

Sagar succeeded in swimming across from Dharamtar to Gateway of India, a 36 k.m. long channel. He also participated in the world’s longest swimming competition for which he swam 81 k.m. in the Bhagirathi river near Behrampur (West Bengal).

Saiyeda Patel is our Alumnus of the Month for April 2009. She has just completed her Diploma in Cyber Law conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Saiyeda has been a 1st class student all through, speaks four languages and wants to do her Masters in Applied Forensic Psychology.

Apart from being active in extra-curricular activities all through college, Saiyeda has done her bit for society also. She actively participated in the Leprosy Eradication Drive from the year 1998-2002 organized by the Indian Leprosy Foundation.

At present she is employed as a Research Executive at Ormax Consultants Private Limited.
