Nidhi Jhala is our Alumnus of the Month for January 2011. Nidhi has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Laws, Diploma in Law relating to Mergers and Acquisitions and the Diploma in Business Laws conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Nidhi has participated in several college moot court competitions especially the 1st SPIL Intra-College International Law Moot Court Competition, 2009 held by Government Law College, Mumbai along with 2 team members.

She has also made many presentations on topics including “Social Networking Sites” at various forums.

In her free time, Nidhi enjoys listening to music, collecting various articles from The Times of India newspaper for her scrap book, reading fiction and watching movies.

At present, Koushik is serving as Scientific Officer (System Administrator) in Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Pune.

As a scientist, Koushik’s interests lie in Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Network & Database Design Optimization and Soft Computing.

Koushik’s long list of awards includes Gold Medal recipient of Best Students’ Project, Awarded by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Best Project Paper Award Winner in the All India Students’ Engineering Congress-2006 organized by ISTE.

Currently, Priyanka is the Head (Operations), Data64 Techno Solutions Pvt. Ltd. which is Incubated by the Science and Technology Park, A STEP promoted by Department of Science & Technology Government of India.

Priyanka, who has always been interested in web hacking and cyber security is now a faculty in these fields as also in cyber forensics and cyber crime investigation at various colleges and universities. She has also helped to develop courses in the field of hacking & security.

As a young collegiate she topped the 12th exam in the Information Technology department. Priyanka was also selected to represent her college in the Indo-France Exchange programme during which she was involved in the study of French history and culture.

In addition to her academic achievements, Priyanka has also been awarded on numerous occasions for her social service work.

Priyanka is also a sports enthusiast who is an executive member of the Poona District Metropolitan Badminton Association. She participated actively in organizing the World Junior Badminton Championship 2008, hosted in Pune and the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2008.

Ltd. (incubated by the Science and technology Park, a STEP promoted by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India).

Ishan is an international player for the game of Roll Ball (a game that is basically a combination of basketball, handball and netball on skates!). He has represented India for this game and also helps in organizing national and international level competitions.

He was recently elected as a member of the Technical Committee for the Asian Roll Ball Federation.

Aishwarya has trained in the field of multimedia and animation and at present she trains little children in computers. Her aim in doing this is to provide a technical touch to their creative minds.

At school, she was good at debating. Aishwarya is also a singer and writer. She won awards for four consecutive years for her work at the school art exhibition.

Aishwarya dreams of entering the advertising field where she hopes to get a platform to promote her ideas.

Since 2008, Arunim an engineering student at Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT) Indore, has been conducting free seminars and workshops on computer related topics in Gwalior and Indore for spreading awareness about computers in students who cannot afford expensive courses. He has already conducted over 18 such events at some very prestigious institutes like (Institute of Technology & Management) ITM Universe Gwalior, IPS Academy Indore, Diamond Cambridge School Pithampur etc.

Being a web developer, he has developed several non-profit portals like eAnveshan.com (for ancient science), Cyber-India.in, QuotationsWorld.net, Info10.in, LoveDilSe.com and more. Arunim is also a regular blogger an active member of dirrerent forums/sites like thehackerlibrary.com, hackingdiscussion.com, Network Security and various orkut communities spreading free knowledge.

Arunim also regularly contributes to Help-age India.

He had been selected as Chief technical co-coordinator of Lakshmi Narain College of Technology’s (LNCT’s) software development cell and has also won level 1 of HackHunt 2008 contest.

18 year old, Jay is studying BBA with Information Technology.

Jay is part of the Civil Defence Department and Quick Response Team of Gujarat State with the post of Warden for the Surat Unit. When consulted he also assists the local police with cyber crime cases.

His interest in wild life conservation has made Jay an active participant in Wildlife Trust of India and the International Fund Of Animal Welfare for ERN (Emergency Relief Network) Team.

Jay is a State table tennis player and has also played cricket at district level.
