Umesh Udal Verma is our Student of the Month for September 2010. Umesh is a student of the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Umesh has numerous achievements to his credit. This college topper at graduation and post-graduation level has also been a member of the international biology olympiad.

He has cracked the CSIR-NET and the State Eligibility Test for lecturership.

This never-say-die student has won several quiz, essay, poster presentation and science in his college. He has been a PhD representative and member secretary, IIT Bombay.

He enjoys reading, spirituality, cricket and science quizzes.

Alumnus of the Month – September 2010

Priyanka Thorve is our Alumnus of the Month for September 2010. Priyanka has successfully completed the ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Currently, Priyanka is the Head (Operations), Data64 Techno Solutions Pvt. Ltd. which is Incubated by the Science and Technology Park, A STEP promoted by Department of Science & Technology Government of India.

Priyanka, who has always been interested in web hacking and cyber security is now a faculty in these fields as also in cyber forensics and cyber crime investigation at various colleges and universities. She has also helped to develop courses in the field of hacking & security.

As a young collegiate she topped the 12th exam in the Information Technology department. Priyanka was also selected to represent her college in the Indo-France Exchange programme during which she was involved in the study of French history and culture.

In addition to her academic achievements, Priyanka has also been awarded on numerous occasions for her social service work.

Priyanka is also a sports enthusiast who is an executive member of the Poona District Metropolitan Badminton Association. She participated actively in organizing the World Junior Badminton Championship 2008, hosted in Pune and the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2008.
