Global Cyber Law Database launched

Global Cyber Law Database has been launched by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

The database is online at:
http://www.cyberlawdb.com/main/

Global Cyber Law Database (GCLD) aims to become the most comprehensive and authoritative source of cyber laws for all countries. GCLD is a public service initiative by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

If you would like to contribute documents / information for inclusion in the Global Cyber Law Database, please email us on info@asianlaws.org

Student of the Month – May 2010

Shweta Prakash Durge is our Student of the Month for May 2010. Shweta is a student of the ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Shweta, a law student, has several publications to her name including over view of ‘The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007’ and ‘Clinical Legal Education – An Overview’.

Shweta has also achieved 1st rank at State level ‘Essay competition’ held by the Forest Department of Maharashtra, in the year 1999.

Not satisfied with just academic achievements made throughout school and college, Shweta also takes an interest in sports like swimming, tennis and gymnastics. She is also a yellow belt holder in karate.

Some of her favourites include:

Color: Black and Purple

Food: Mushroom

Drink: Coffee and fresh fruit juices

Actors: I like the characters played by an actor more than actor himself

Smell: Smell of soil after rain

Movies: Matrix, Troy, Dhoop, Paathshaala and other movies having scientific, technical and good ideas.

TV Shows: I Dream of Jeannie, Tom and Jerry, shows on Discovery, Fox History and Animal Planet.

Books: The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, John Grisham novels, legal magazines and books by Swami Vivekananda

Alumnus of the Month – May 2010

Jay Thakkar is our Alumnus of the Month for May 2010. Jay has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

18 year old, Jay is studying BBA with Information Technology.

Jay is part of the Civil Defence Department and Quick Response Team of Gujarat State with the post of Warden for the Surat Unit. When consulted he also assists the local police with cyber crime cases.

His interest in wild life conservation has made Jay an active participant in Wildlife Trust of India and the International Fund Of Animal Welfare for ERN (Emergency Relief Network) Team.

Jay is a State table tennis player and has also played cricket at district level.

An avid participant in dramatics, Jay has performed all over his city and also in some other parts of Gujarat.

Food: Gujarati, Home made

Drink: Milk shakes and fresh juices

Movies: Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, 3 Idiots
