Student of the Month – September 2009

Neelabh Rai is our Student of the Month for September 2009. Neelabh is currently studying the ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator course and has already completed the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Basically a B.tech (Information Technology), Neelabh then completed his Certified Information Security Expert course and then got training in Network Security and Ethical Hacking from Department of IT, Govt. of India.

Socially, Neelabh is working to help depressed people and especially handles those cases where there are signs of a suicidal tendency. He is also a regular blood donor at various hospitals. For this he was awarded as a “Repeated” Regular Voluntary Blood Donor by the Rotary Blood Bank. He also motivates youngsters to donate blood.

On 26 Aug, 2009, he was selected as an Ambassador for “MISSION: SAFER INDIA” being run by Dr. Kiran Bedi (Retd. IPS) for Noida region.

Neelabh is also actively involved in helping save accident victims and has personally saved 26 lives.

He is an active netizen and published information about “Techniques for Identifying Terrorists” on his website on the day of Delhi September blasts in 2008.

Alumnus of the Month – September 2009

Joel is our Alumnus of the Month for September 2009. Joel was a student of the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Joel is currently a final year student of law at Pune. He is also undergoing training as a part of the Company Secretary course. Not only has he consistently done well in his law course, but he has also participated in various moot court competitions and is a member of several student bodies including the Moot Court Society in his college.

His team, in which he was a speaker, represented his college and later India at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2009 at Washington D.C., USA. Joel was also recently awarded the Microsoft Intellectual Property Scholarship.

Joel is currently involved in penning an article on the draft of the National Innovation Act. Although a comparatively unsuccessful sportsman, he still loves to play football and basketball. :)
