Cyber Warfare & Defence Course Launched

Asian School of Cyber Laws has now launched an Advanced Course in Cyber Warfare & Defence.

 This is a 1-year advanced level course in Cyber Warfare & Defence covering cyber reconnaissance, cyber attacks, cyber investigation & forensics and cyber defence.

The course is broadly divided into three parts:

1. Cyber Reconnaissance & Cyber Attacks
2. Investigating Cyber Attacks
3. Cyber Defence & Cyber Security

This course is suitable for Military officials, Police & law enforcement officials, IT students & professionals, Security Professionals, Network & Systems Administrators.

The course fee is Rs. 27500 with fee concessions being given for students / alumni of ASCL’s Diploma in Cyber Law, Cyber Crime Analyst, PG Program in Cyber Laws, Diploma in Cyber Crime Prosecution & Defence and ASCL Certified Cyber Crime Investigator courses.

Admissions are open for the batch starting 1st October 2009.

Alumnus of the Month – July 2009

Vikas Srivastava is our Alumnus of the Month for July 2009. Vikas has successfully completed the Diploma in Cyber Laws and Securities and Investment Laws from Asian School of Cyber Laws and ASCL Law School respectively.

He holds a Masters degree in International Business Laws from National University of Singapore, Singapore.

As a student of Asian School of Cyber Laws he worked with Cyber Crime Police (COD), Bangalore as a part of practical training in Cyber Laws and Cyber Crime Investigation in 2003.

At present, he is placed with Dezan Shira and Associates, Mumbai as a legal associate (FDI) and India operations head.

Socially aware and active, Vikas also researched and penned several chapters for the book, “Objection Your Honor” for the common man to understand the jargon of law and its practical aspect in a simplified manner.

He is also dynamic in cyberspace www.vikaslegal.blogspot.com  where he contributes by writings on foreign direct investment in India and China.

Student of the Month – July 2009

Vishal Makkar is our Student of the Month for July 2009. Vishal is a student of the Diploma in Cyber Law course conducted by Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Even as a child, Vishal was special. He was awarded the “District Child Scientist Award” by the Haryana Vigyan Manch. Later, Vishal also won ‘Rashtrapati Award’ (President Scout Award) by ‘The Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi’ (signed by the then President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam).

Vishal, who is now an Associate Engineer with 3i Infotech, started his career by securing 3rd position in Sprint (C++ programming event) at Sankalan 2008, the Annual Technical Festival organized by Delhi University Computer Science Society.

Some of his favorites are:

Food:  Anything spicy and hygienic

Drink: Slice, Lemon Tea

Actors: None in particular; actually I like the characters played by actors more

Smell: ‘Petrichor’ (The pleasant smell that accompanies the first rain after a dry spell)
